Women's Bible Study

The women's Bible study meets weekly on Tuesdays at 10:30 am with complimentary onsite child care available. An evening session is also available at 7:30 pm (sorry, child care is currently unavailable at the evening sessions).  This term we will be studying "The Story of Anglicanism." You are invited to join with parish women of all ages and stages to mine the rich veins of scripture through the history, practices, theology and art of Anglicanism. This course of study is specifically designed to allow women to attend as available -- it's never too late to join! Contact Karla Probert: 434.8120 or usaproberts@comcast.net

Explorers Bible Study 

Meeting Tuesdays at 7:00 PM, Explorers in the 2011/2012 term is taking an in-depth look at the Gospel of John, in the quest to gain more insight to the foundations of the faith.  The course uses an excellent workbook from Joy of Living to guide the study and research for discussion questions.  Classes begin September 27, 2011 and run through the end of May, 2012.  For information contact:  Karl Weiskopf, kwsolutions@q.com .

Rector’s Breakfast and Bible Study

This special group meets Wednesday mornings at 7:30.  Please come and enjoy a hearty breakfast and a strengthening look at God’s Word.  The class is currently doing Francis Schaeffer's "25 Basic Bible Studies."

Men of St. George

All parish men are invited to join this vibrant ministry of fellowship and Scripture study.  Men of St. George meets the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month early mornings at the church.  In addition to delicious food and insightful Bible study, there are new and old friendships plus networking with fellow parishioners.  Contact Michael Porter: 481.8223 or michael.porter@comcast.net or Jack Gloriod: 630.3266 or jack@gloriod.com

This fall, the Men of St George will be reading  “The Great Theologians, A Brief guide” by Gerald R. McDermott.   

The Men of St. George meet at the church on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, utilizing the kitchen for breakfast and coffee. Meetings will begin at 8:00 am with prayer, breakfast and fellowship, with the book discussion running from 8:45 to 9:30. You can order the book at Amazon for $13.46.                    

Foyers

Foyers works its magic with gatherings of approximately ten people meeting monthly for a simple supper in the relaxed comfortable setting of member’s homes.  Monthly dinners rotate among participants.  Foyers is simple, great fun and rewarding for all.  Foyers offers the delight of meeting new people and strengthening relationships across the parish.  This is a fellowship gem!  Contact Laverne Catter at laverne.catter@clairex.com or 719-687-1199. 

The St. Chrysostom’s Guild

This guild is for women looking for spiritual enrichment and fellowship.  The guild is also involved in service by founding, stocking and administering the Gloria Barnsbee Memorial Library at St. George Church.  Meeting the first Wednesday each month from September through May from 9:30 to 11:30 AM, St. Chrysostom’s gatherings feature a delightful light lunch and varied but stimulatingly substantive presentations.  The interesting and active St. Chrysostom’s women meet in members homes.  Contact Colleen  Miller: 578.5352 or colleen2511@comcast.net
