CANA Chaplains Deanery

The ministry of the CANA Chaplains Deanery, headed by The Rt. Rev. Derek Jones, is to endorse and support Anglican clergy (Deacons and Priests) for service in the military, federal and local government, hospital and hospice chaplaincies, and other volunteers serving their various communities.  Canon Williams serves as Bishop Jones' Coordinator for Governmental Agency Chaplains. Shook's Trail
Registration begins at 8:00 AM, Walk starts at 9:00 AM

The walk will start at the downtown end of Shook's Run Trail, cut off to the Rock Island Trail and end at Constitution Drive.  Interested in sponsoring the ASAP walk?  Do you have items you would like to donate for the auction and raffle?  Contact Tamra Allgood at 719-243-0923 or taallgood@aol.com or Chad Allgood at 719-310-8970.

In addition to walk a full day of events are planned with a breakfast roundup prior to the walk.  Later everyone can enjoy Cinco de Mayo family fun at Union Station with bands, special children's activities and food.  Union Station is located at 2419 N. Union Blvd.

Mercy's Gate

For the weekly collections in 2012, Mercy's Gate is always in need of the following items:
1st Sunday -- Peanut Butter & Jelly / Tuna
2nd Sunday -- Ramen Noodles / Mac & Cheese / Canned Chili
3rd Sunday -- Canned Fruit & Vegetables
4th Sunday -- Pasta & Spaghetti Sauce / Soups
5th Sunday (if applicable) --  Personal items (Bar Soap / Deodorant / Toothpaste / etc.)

Outreach Committee

St. George Pray-ers

St. Theresa’s Guild

Share in this ministry of compassion and service by preparing and delivering meals to families in the parish who have experienced a death, illness or other major change in their lives.  Contact Martha Clift: 439.6063 or marthaclift@msn.com

Transportation

Be a special blessing!  Be appreciated! Be a volunteer providing rides on a rotating basis for parish members who need transportation to attend Sunday services.  Contact Sue Spears at stgeorgiegirl@gmail.com
